In early March in Beijing ITDP attended an “Urban Transport Development Forum” organized by the Ministry of Transport, World Bank, and GIZ, and presented parking-related case studies. The recently completed Beijing parking study, which ITDP carried out with ADB funding, and other China cities parking studies were presented by Bram van Ooijen at the forum. Attendees were government agencies and planning and design institutes from around China, including Wuhan, Harbin, Shenzhen, and many other cities. Parking reform is being planned in Xicheng district and ITDP’s recommendations were well-received. .
