Lanzhou bike sharing system expands

This week Lanzhou opened 44 new bike sharing stations in Qilihe district, with 1,000 bikes. Lanzhou started operating the bike sharing system in June 2014, starting with 111 stations, 2,795 docks and 2,000 bikes in the downtown Chengguan district. Now the city has 185 stations, 4,900 docks and 4,000 bikes in Chengguan and Qilihe districts. Lanzhou plans to start bike sharing station construction in Anning district in September this year with 98 stations. The expansion and implementation of bike sharing system will be continued according to the plan for bike sharing in Lanzhou developed by ITDP working with local agencies.
